“I’m directly writing in my last flight heading back to France to keep you update from my last training trip in Tenerife – Canarias Island.
After a pretty nice winter in South of France, the cold weather was finally back and I wanted to get some proper conditions for the end of February.
It was not only about the conditions that I went there. In Tenerife you have a big center that is proposing high quality training. With exactly the same process as we can find on the World Tour, it was interesting for me to come and sail with some of the best riders of the world who are choosing this place too.
Don’t need lots of word to qualify my trip, 7 days in the island, 7 days on the water. It was the opportunity for me to continue all my equipment tuning and to test all my new equipment in real racing conditions. There the level was really high and I get some big fight on the water. The spot was pretty windy with most of the time a good swell mixed with a solid chop. Being in real racing situation was perfect to be back on starting sequence and jibe under the pressure.
I spent a lot of time on the water and for the moment I am pretty happy with my gear, it promises good fights for the upcoming season with super nice tools! I went there straight after a hard physical training period so some days on the water were pretty hard and I come back home pretty tired which is good according to the period of the year. Now I will get a long week-end rest and then go back on track with a good program in France then a new training in Spain to be back on racing with other top world guys. Stay tuned!”
