Maui Aloha Classic 2017
A fine settimana inizia l’Aloha Classic a Maui… tutto è pronto per il più grande evento della stagione IWT (International Windsurfing Tour) 2017 che andrà in onda ad Ho’okipa Beach dal 29 ottobre al 12 novembre.
I riders iscritti stanno arrivando da tutto il mondo a Maui e come sempre, in questa classica finale del tour, potremo vedere all’opera i migliori wave riders in circolazione a cominciare da alcuni vincintori delle scorse edizioni come Kai Lenny e Bernd Roediger, Morgan Noireaux, attuale leader del tour, l’inossidabile Kevin Pritchard e molti altri…
Come è buona consuetudine, l’IWT, oltre alla competizione per i professionisti, darà spazio anche alle gare degli amatori, delle donne, dei master e degli junior e non mancheranno, anche questa volta, quella serie di attività fuori dall’acqua, corollario degli eventi IWT, a partire dalla tradizionale cerimonia di apertura, alle serate in città, alle lezioni di windsurf gratuite per i bambini e alla pulizia della spiaggia.
L’evento avrà inizio sabato 28 ottobre con l’iscrizione e la registrazione a tutte le gare dalle 18 alle 21aal Rock & Brews.
Domenica 29 ottobre la tradizionale cerimonia di apertura con tanto di benedizione si svolgerà al Parco di Ho’okipa Beach.
Maui Aloha Classic 2017
The IWT (International Windsurfing Tour) will host their 7th annual Aloha Classic, right here on Maui, at Ho’okipa Beach Park.
Riders are set to travel from across the globe for the final, and biggest, event of the 2017 IWT season, which takes place from October 29th until November 12th.
Some of the world’s best riders will be joined by Maui’s biggest names including Kai Lenny, 2x Aloha Classic Champion and current tour leader Morgan Noireaux, 2x winner Bernd Roediger, and 8x World Champion Kevin Pritchard, and many more, in what promises to be one of the most exciting windsurfing contests of the year.
As well as competition for professionals, amateurs, women, masters and juniors, all riders will enjoy all that Maui has to offer with a range of off-water activities from the traditional opening ceremony, to evenings in town, free kids windsurfing lessons and a beach clean up.
The contest will start on Saturday, October 28th with evening check in and registration for all competitions 6-9pm at Rock & Brews. And on Sunday, October 29th the Opening Blessing Ceremony will take place at Ho’okipa Beach Park.
